Its therapeutic management is complicated in patients with recurrence or high risk of anal incontinence.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objective:<\/strong> This study aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of autologous platelet-rich plasma infiltration in the treatment of chronic anal fissure.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Material and methods:<\/strong> A descriptive retrospective observational study was carried out in 16 patients treated at our center for chronic anal fissure with autologous platelet-rich plasma.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Result:<\/strong> The evolution was satisfactory in all the patients, since in 94% of them the proctalgia had diminished or disappeared during the first 48 hours. One month after treatment, 89% of patients had healed the fissure. Limitations: This study was limited by its small sample size.
